Buddy Programme

A buddy programme is organized by each centre of the International Office of Sciences Po to create linkage between French students and international students.

At the Centre for Asia and the Pacific, international students don't need to register, and will be contacted by the centre with a buddy proposal, matching them with registered French Students.

For the year 2009-2010, about 300 students (French and international) take part in the buddy programme. The centre officially launches the buddy programme on October 23, with the cooperation of Asie Extrême, the Asian student Union at Sciences Po. This meeting will be the first time for the buddies to meet each other.

Lectures and events

Sciences Po organises and hosts numerous conferences and presentations each year from some of the world's most prominent academics, policy-makers, professionals and practitioners. These events are generally free for students to attend, though registration is required for some. They are advertised in the Sciences Po newsletter, which all Sciences Po students receive via their student e-mail account, and may also be advertised on the Sciences Po Web site and the website of the hosting research centers, for exemple the one of the Centre for International Studies and Research is particularly intersting for international students.

Student associations at Sciences Po actively contribute to conference organisation and the institute's vigorous academic life. For more information and links to specific association's pages, go to the Student Association site.
